Finding your “soul mate” workout is ideal because it is a workout that you will love and probably one that you will enjoy doing often.  With that said, there are many different types of workouts that you can do.  It can depend on whether you like to do a hard and fast style of workout such as a cardio workout or a HIIT training.  Yoga has become a very popular workout style because it strengthens and stretches a variety of muscle groups.  The main thing that you need to do is make a determination of the style of workout that you like and then find programs in that particular style.

I have tried several different types of programs, and I find that the best program is one that challenges you while giving you results.  I have found that my “soul mate” workout program changes, depending on what kind of results I am expecting. At this time, I am looking to build lean muscle and tone up.  I am doing a program that is a combination of cardio workouts and strength training on alternating days for a full two months.  I am on my second round of the program, and I think I will do a third round too.

Workouts are something that you need to do to keep your body and mind healthy and to ensure that you avoid major health problems in the future.  By keeping your body and mind healthy you will live longer and many people are going to wonder how you keep looking so young.  Staying healthy is the fountain of youth for many people and workouts are definitely a huge part of that.

What does this all mean?  Find workouts that you enjoy doing and do them often.  Even if you hate exercise, and I confess that I have never liked it…. you will learn to love the burn and how you feel once you see the results that you have worked hard for. The reward at the end of the program is to look at those before pictures and the after pictures and to see that difference in your face and your body, even if the scale says something different.  The way that your clothes fit should be the real indicator, not a number on a scale.
